Welcome, 2021!
It’s a brand-new year, and it’s Season 2 of The Noble Man Podcast. We are kicking off January with the question, “Why Men?”
“There will never be revival or reformation until it starts in households.”
Why men’s ministry? Why invest in men? The short answer according to Carlton McLeod of Calvary Reformation Church in Chesapeake, VA is “because that’s the formula God gave us.” He reveals his story of successfully growing a church plant and then realizing they needed to take a new, radical direction.
He went back to the Bible to look for a better way: preaching the gospel, the sufficiency of scripture, family environment, and tools for fulfilling responsibility.
“Pastor, trust God’s word . . .say it with love, say it with clarity, but say it with boldness, and by all means, say it.”
“And he gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the shepherds and teachers, to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ, until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to mature manhood, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ.” Ephesians 4:11-13
Even mentioning the word manhood can put a bad taste in some mouths. But when we understand the biblical foundation for manhood, we will spit out the bitter definition the world might have us believe and follow the model of perfect manhood, Jesus Christ. True manhood is the antithesis of toxic masculinity.
Join us as we begin to flip the societal norm on its head and build the solid foundation of biblical manhood in 2021.
